Useppa Island Club

What is the date anyway? I don't seem to be getting the blogging done like in the past!

We spent a few nights in our hideaway hole on Punta Blanca Island, then anchored off the east side of Useppa, where we joined friends for a lunch party on the island. It was a lot of fun to walk around this private island. Lots of pretty "cottages".

The weather window looked good so we scooted down the coast....Fuel and dock at Ft. Myers Beach, then a long day to the Shark River anchorage and then on down to Marathon where we anchored in Sister Creek for a few days.

A slice of LIFE !!!

The twins take on taking a bite out of their slices of life!

As the World Turns ...... another round of Sunrises..... and Sunsets

A spinning prop gathers no barnicles?

So it is said that a rolling stone gathers no moss....and that there seldom seems to be moss on us, Jim and Vaughn. It's been quite a year with lots of diversions and distractions. Our "Dirt House" in Michigan is now for sale. Our travels recently included a trip to Yellowstone NP, Grand Tetons NP and subsequently to the Grand Canyon. After our trip to Spain with the grandtwins, and a month on the road for a family reunion of 3 brothers, a visit to the Walters in Copper Harbor and some camping along the Great Lake they call GitcheGumee. All awesome diversions from the flatlands of the Florida sandbar.

Here We Go Again

Wow, it's January 2011....time marches on like water rushing down the rivers to the sea!

TWINS is in the water and we're preparing to launch out on another Loop Segment. This next trip will take us south to the Keys (Deja Vu) but we expect to anchor around the keys more compared to being tied to a dock last year. Maybe a trip out to the Dry Tortuga's too! After that we expect to head over to the Bahamas and then back to Florida and start working our way up the east coast.

We are now Florida residents and have rooted ourselves slightly in Burnt Store Marina near Punta Gorda and Fort Myers. What a year of changes it has been.

We've just had all our family here for the Holidays, including the real twins. It warmed back up as soon as everyone left.
